Bethesda affirms Indiana Jones game won’t affect other major projects

If you missed the big news earlier this week, the legendary adventurer known as Indiana Jones is getting a new video game. It will be a collaboration between Lucasfilm, MachineGames, and of course Bethesda is also involved. And when it comes to Bethesda, you know Todd Howard isn’t too far off. The industry leader has many projects on his hands right now. We know you are involved in both The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield, but he will also be the executive producer of this new project. Fortunately, it has been made clear that the new Indiana Jones game will not affect the development of either of them. Starfield or The Elder Scrolls VI.

The concerns were evident on social media. However, Bethesda representatives have got on top of it. Senior Vice President of Marketing Pete Hines has reiterated that Howard won’t stretch too far.

While Howard may be involved in many projects, his main focus remains the two blockbuster games already in the works. Knowing that Howard’s main focus remains on both The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield it will be music to the ears of the fans. But of course those games are still years away.

Future in the dark

Regarding the latest project, MachineGames participation in the Indiana Jones Gambling also raises concerns. The studio’s own popular series, Wolfenstein, remains in limbo. So far, the reboot series for the classic shooter has been generally well received. With this new collaboration, things seem uncertain. Unfortunately, we don’t have any other news on the Nazi fighter first-person shooter franchise for now.
