Through its official statement, Sony confirmed that the coronavirus has no impact on the gaming industry. Besides, the Japanese company also has not seen signs of COVID-19 that will disrupt the launch of the PS5 at the end of this year.

On the other hand, launching from Digital Trends, Tuesday (3/31/2020), Sony acknowledged this pandemic had an impact on after-sales service and the production process of its devices. Because Sony has closed many stores to factories throughout the world.

Sony also applies a ban on official travel for its employees. The rule makes it difficult for technicians from Japan to come to several countries to help launch new products or to conduct training at their factories.
