Derke and Magnum Complete The Fnatic VALORANT Roster

Fnatic has confirmed the two names that will complete its VALORANT roster, signing Nikita ‘Derke’ Sirmitev and Martin ‘Magnum’ Peňkov. The list had been narrowed to three earlier this month with the relief of Muhammed ‘Moe40’ Hariff and Kostantinos ‘tsack’ Theodoropoulos.

Hailing from Finnish Counter-Strike, Derke will take over Jett and Sova for the black and orange. Despite the 18-year-old leaving CS in mid-2020 to continue his studies, he appears to have returned full-time to pursue a new project with a different title.

Magnum will assume the role of Sentinel, assuming the tasks of Killjoy and Cypher. The Czech player was last seen playing under the orgless HOMELESS team, having been eliminated in Round of 32 at VCT Stage 2: Challengers 1.

Our vision for Fnatic VALORANT remains the same now as it will be in the future – to challenge at the top and compete for the biggest titles the game has to offer. We know that Derke and Magnum have the talent to help us accomplish this mission.

Having entered the Riot shooter with the signing of SUMN FC, the team was unable to file any trophies under the new jersey, despite being constantly present at major events.

After two months together, the Fnatic VALORANT roster announced their first departure on April 3.rd, with tsack announcing on Twitter that it had just been banned. A day later, Moe40 confirmed that he would also be leaving the UK-based organization.

The team will have a tough challenge ahead as it will have a single Challengers event to secure one of the two available European places in the largest EMEA qualifier that will determine who will make it to Reykjavík.
