Ghost Of Tsushima: Legends brings Co-Op to Sucker Punch’s Samurai-Epic. Here’s a breakdown of the Samurai techniques Skill Tree to help guide you through the ranks of the Samurai Class.

In Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, Sucker Punch has offered players the chance to experience their Samurai Epic in a whole new way. Rather than fighting as Jin Sakai, Legends has players choosing one of four unique classes. While each class is equipped with the basics, they also have differing sets of abilities and a unique skill tree.

In this article, we’ll be talking through the Samurai Class skill tree. Below you’ll find images of each skill on the tree and an explanation of what they can do. This will help you shape your legend, Samurai.

Samurai Techniques Skill Tree

Hachiman’s Fury – Rank 1 Ultimate

Hachiman’s Fury allows the player to strike at opponents with lightning speed and incredible damage. It can fell a stronger opponent with ease, or take down three enemies with ruthless efficiency. It’s the perfect way to initiate a fight.

Spirit Pull – Rank 1 Class Ability

Spirit Pull is the perfect Class Ability to keep Samurai Class players in the fight for a long time. Spirit Pull siphons health from nearby enemies passively, draining them while healing the Samurai. While it’s active, the Samurai is truly a force to be reckoned with. It has a cooldown of 36s too, making it one of the more efficient Class Abilities across the board.

Explosive Blade – Rank 10 Class Ability

Explosive Blade? Explosive Blade. This, as you might imagine, does exactly what it says. It gives melee attacks an explosive edge, dealing much more Area of Effect damage with each hit. It also has a cooldown of 36s, making it another solid choice.

Defender – Rank 2 Perk 1

To put it plainly, this gives the Samurai more health. 25 more health, to be precise. This, when coupled with Spirit Pull can be a great way of keeping the Samurai as healthy as possible for as long as possible.

Deep Strikes – Rank 7 Perk 1

Deep Strikes increases all melee damage by 10%. This could be coupled with Explosive Blade for devastating results against Brutes and Oni, who often have the most health. If you avoid hits often, this would be the better choice for Perk 1.

Samurai Unleashed – Rank 14 Perk 1

This Perk reduces all the Class Ability cooldown rates by 15%. This reduces the cooldown of both Explosive Blade and Spirit Pull to 30.6s. It’s hard to argue with that.

Lightning Reflexes – Rank 3 Perk 2

Lightning Reflexes is a Perk which can be very helpful when rushing opponents. It automatically parries incoming arrows while blocking. You may have seen a similar ability in Ghost of Tsushima’s single-player mode. It’s very useful if your timing and dodging isn’t quite up to scratch.

Critical Defence – Rank 9 Perk 2

This is another perk that helps both survivability and players who’s timing isn’t quite perfect. It increases parry and dodge windows when at low health. Always dying to that last Shield-Bearer? This is for you.

Resolve Increase – Rank 16 Perk 2

To put it plainly, this increases your Resolve by 1. This is great when coupled with Heavenly Strike… But otherwise, it’s not the most useful Perk 2 when compared to the others.

Heavenly Strike – Rank 5 Perk 3

Heavenly Strike is similar to the Single-Player ability of the same name. By pressing Circle and Triangle, the Samurai can perform an unblockable quick strike. It costs 1 Resolve, so fits well with Resolve Increase. However, without that, then you’re impacting the amount of time you can use your Ultimate Ability.

Hachiman’s Frenzy – Rank 11 Perk 3

This is for those of you who like a spectacle. It increases the strikes Hachiman’s Fury gives you by 2, meaning you can hit up to 5 different opponents if you’d like. It’s perfect for clearing out areas or handling multiple Brutes and Oni.

Legendary – Rank 18 Perk 3

This allows the Samurai Class to equip an extra Legendary item. Legendary items are by-far the best quality of item in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. They may be rare, but they’re worth it when you get one.

Classes are a vital part of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends and hopefully this will help you make the right choices when it comes to the Samurai Class perks.
