Published

on

Pokemon Go blasted (Blastoised?) into our culture in a big way. One day people heard about it, the next day it was a part of our lives. They have added multiple new features from when it was first released. Now, we’re faced with some tough bosses that stand in our way (through augmented reality, of course). This guide will cover how to take on one of these bosses: Giovanni!

How to beat Giovanni in Pokémon Go: All Giovanni Counters

The best way to take Giovanni down is to know what Pokémon he uses and their strengths, weaknesses, and strategies. We here at Pro Game Guides have got the list, and you’ll find using this guide will set the path for your to (hopefully) win the battle against the Team Rocker leader!

Quick Notes

  • Giovanni always uses the same two Pokemon first and last in his lineup. These Pokemon are Persian and Shadow Mewtwo, respectively. However, he uses one of three Pokemon second in his lineup. Between Persian and Shadow Mewtwo, he will use one of the following: Kangaskhan, Nidoking, or Garchomp.
  • The counters we include aren’t synonymous with weaknesses. Sometimes these counters will be mentioned for things other than being the opponent’s weakness. Other examples may include their movesets or the fact that they’re naturally resistant to their opponent.
