HyperX Pulsefire Haste review • Lightweight gaming mouse

The lightest HyperX mouse yet has arrived. This is one of the lightest mice on the market today and is designed specifically for Battle Royale games. But how does it really feel when playing? Is it really that light? We have the HyperX Pulsefire Haste in our hands to put it through the wringer.

Super ultralight

Why do we call it the super ultralight gaming mouse? Because that is what it is. The HyperX Pulsefire Haste weighs 59 grams, or just over two ounces. That’s about half a can of tuna, and I mean small cans, like the ones you take with your lunch. When I received the Pulsefire Haste, it was almost as if the box was empty. The cable of this mouse weighs more than the mouse itself! In terms of being lightweight and one of the lightest mice out there, it certainly hits the mark.

But why would anyone want even a lightweight? For my part, I enjoy feeling that I still have a mouse in my hand. With the rise of battle royale games and the widespread acceptance of first person shooter games, the lightweight mouse is becoming the choice of gamers. Lightweight mice are easier to move quickly and are supposedly easier to aim. The honeycomb design on the HyperX Pulsefire Haste is part of the reason this mouse is so lightweight. You can also see directly through the mouse, and the cutouts allow for good airflow. This feature feels really good during those intense gaming moments, when your hands tend to sweat.

Hyperx pulsefire rush

You can literally see the light of day through this mouse.

During my time testing the mouse, my roommate came in and said, “Won’t it get really dusty and dirty?” Good question, I thought. With all the holes in the mouse, you’d think this would be the perfect spot for dust to get in. Fortunately, HyperX thought about that and added a dustproof switch on the internals. You won’t have to worry about this mouse getting stuck at that point.

Grip, cables and customization

If you like RGB, you’ll probably want to steer clear of the HyperX Pulsefire Haste. It’s so light that there’s hardly room for fancy lights and only the scroll wheel turns on. Instead, there are other ways to customize this mouse. If you want to aim quickly without slipping, add some grip tape to the mouse. The HyperX Pulsefire Haste comes with ribbon that you can add to the sides, mouse clicks, and even the little blue skates. The grip feels great and it doesn’t look like you’re going to slip or lose your aim while playing. You won’t have to worry about the cable either. The mouse may be super light, but the cable is sturdy and strong. If you want to make sure the cable doesn’t weigh you down too much, it may be worth using a bungee with the Pulsefire.

The rush of Hyperx Pulsefire

The HyperX Pulsefire Haste only has one light on the mouse wheel and comes with additional grips and skates for customization.

The Pulsefire Haste is the perfect companion for the HyperX Alloy Origins keyboard. While it’s a bit heavier, the keyboard is slim, complementing the pulsefire Haste’s honeycomb look and feel. Plus, Alloy Origins will definitely make up for Pulsefire Haste’s lack of RGB, if you’re into that sort of thing.

While perhaps not the high-end gaming mouse, without fancy RGB, the Pulsefire Haste is without a doubt one of the lightest options out there. Oh, and it’s relatively inexpensive too. You can add Pulsefire Haste to your collection for just $ 49.99 USD (approximately $ 89 AUD).
