Into the Wyrd and Wild is a supplemental book for those looking to incorporate a weird and terrifying nature into their role play. Players and GMs who appreciate a level of horror and prefer the sweeping, dark landscapes of the forest and sloughs to the well-trodden cobblestones of the dungeons don’t need to look any further when it comes to books. The book features a slight overhaul of the adventure system, modified to better fit a campaign centered around forays into the spooky desert.
In addition to filling the area with new monsters and plays, Into the Wyrd and Wild is also an attempt to increase the gameplay of the wilderness. Rather than making the desert remain a place along the path to a dungeon, he seeks to make the desert a dungeon in itself. It includes an essay on design theory as well as a way to easily and randomly build a dungeon in the wilderness.
