The Minecraft Live event is coming up soon, and while you won’t be able to attend in person, you will be able to watch it via streaming! This is great fun for gamers around the world, and here you will also find a ton of new announcements for the future of Minecraft. A lot of people are looking forward to finding out what’s in store for us in patch 1.17, and we’ll also get a chance to assess which new mob will be added to the game!
The event will take place on October 3, 2020 at 12 ET on Minecraft.net/live. During this event, the possibility of voting for one of the three mobs that have been created with the intention of possibly including them in the game will be included. You may be familiar with this by now, because a vote was held in MINECON Earth 2017, which the Phantom won and now terrifies players who don’t get enough sleep.
The Minecraft mobs you can vote on are Glow Squid, Icelogoer, and Moobloom. Each of these will appear in a different biome, so you may want to choose the one that will be found the most. You can cast your vote during the team live on Minecraft Twitter page.
Mafia list and details
We have additional information on each of the mobs you can vote for, which will hopefully help inform your decision. You can read the official announcement post about these on Minecraft.net.
The Glow Squid is going to be a deep-sea peat that has a unique glow like other fish and the life you’ll find deep in the ocean. They act more or less like the squid that you find now in the game, which means that they are quite passive and will not attack you on sight. This could be an interesting mob to coax into a fish tank of sorts near your base that will add a nice glow to it!
Now this is a hostile mob, who will live in the high mountains and cold biomes of the game. They will attack you if you get too close and launch flying ice clouds! If you are looking to make your mountain exploration a bit more difficult, then the Icelogoer is the mob for you.
If you are a fan of bees, then the Moobloom will be a friend. They look quite similar to the Mooshrooms that already exist and will have flowers growing on them instead of mushrooms. These passive mobs will hang out in the flower forest biomes and make them a bit more active with life.
