Nexplay Esports in Talks for Acquiring Aether Esports to Host Wild Rift Team



Popular streamer and content creator, Setsuna “Dogie” Ignacio revealed that he is currently discussing terms for making his organization Aether Esports a sub-organization of Nexplay Esports. This will allow Nexplay Esports to circumvent the limitations imposed by major leagues and cover more esports titles such as League of Legends: Wild Rift, PUBG Mobile, and Call of Duty (COD): Mobile under Aether Esports. Dogie assured fans that both esports organizations shall not merge into one but rather branch out to field more teams from various esports titles. Dogie also revealed that Nexplay Esports is now preparing to build a Mobile Legends Development League (MDL) team.

Nexplay Esports to buyout Aether Esports

Dogie previously confirmed the which will feature teams for various esports titles. His recent vlog revealed that Nexplay Esports will be a big part of Dogie’s plans to bring back his old organization as a potential buyout is currently in discussion.

However, this buyout will only result in Aether Esports becoming a sister team of Nexplay Esports. This is being done to circumvent the alleged that prevent the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) franchise leagues from hosting teams for Wild Rift.

“Their plan for me is to buy out Aether [Esports] in full… it will be a branch [organization] because we also need to [compete] in Wild Rift because its prize pool is massive,” said Dogie.

The streamer clarified that Aether Esports will keep its name but Nexplay Esports will be its head organization. “It’s all going to be branched out, maybe Nexplay Aether for Wild Rift,” explained Dogie.

A bootcamp is currently being prepared for Dogie’s esports organization, Aether Esports, as revealed in his recent vlog. However, it is yet to reveal the teams that it will be fielding for the various esports titles. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates.
