Niantic unveils Pokémon GO Battle League changes for Season 7

Niantic, developer of Pokémon GO revealed Important information Tuesday on new cup formats, rewards and themes for the upcoming GO Battle League Season 7, which begins March 1.

To start with, GO Battle League ratings Season 6 It will reset and all players will begin their ascent from rank one. Season 7 will also feature rewards and Pokémon encounters around Elesa, the Electric-type gym leader in Pokémon Black and White who stands out for using Zebstrika.

Players who reach Rank 10 in Season 7 will get Pikachu Libre avatar items and players who reach Legend rank will get special Elesa-themed avatar items. Upon reaching Rank 19, players will earn an Elite ChargedTM and an Elite FastTM. Reaching Rank 20 will guarantee an encounter with the Legendary Pokémon that appears in five-star raids at that time.

Pokémon GO Battle League Season 7 Schedule and Encounters

GO Battle League Season 7 rewards will also include different Pokémon encounters at different ranks. These are the following matches that players can win:

  • Rank 1: Zebstrika, Elesa’s partner Pokémon
  • Rank 1 and up: Poliwhirl, Flaaffy, Pupitar, Galvantula, and more.
  • Rank 10 and up: Medicham, Frillish, Stunfisk, and more.
  • Rank 15 and up: Scraggy, Lampent, and Rufflet.
  • Rank Ace and Up: Deino
  • Legend Rank: Free Pikachu

The schedule for season 7 of Pokémon GO Battle League is as follows:

  • The Great League will take place from Monday, March 1 at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8) until Monday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7).
  • The Ultra League and its Premier Cup will take place from Monday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, March 29 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7).
  • The Master League, Master League Classic and the Great League will take place from Monday, March 29 at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7). Only Pokémon that have not been boosted with Candy XL are allowed in Master League Classic.
  • The three leagues will run from Monday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7).
  • The Great League and a new cup called Great League Remix will run from Monday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7). See the Cups section below for more details.
  • The Ultra League and its Premier Cup will take place from Monday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, May 10 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7).
  • The Master League, Master League Classic and the Retro Cup will take place starting on Monday, May 10 at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, May 17 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7). Only Pokémon that have not been boosted with Candy XL are allowed in Master League Classic. See the Cups section below for more details.
  • The three leagues will run from Monday, May 17 at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, May 24 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7).
  • Qualified play will end on Monday, May 24 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7).
  • An unranked Kanto Cup will be held from Monday, May 24 at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, May 31 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7). See the Cups section below for more details.
