Oasis Gaming Releases Wild Rift Roster Following 31st SEA Games Defeat

Oasis Gaming was one of the representatives of the League of Legends: Wild Rift Men’s event at the 31st Southeast Asia (SEA) Games. The organization bid farewell to its roster after a disappointing run in the tournament. Oasis Gaming had acquired the roster of LF (Looking For) Adoption that dominated the Sibol Qualifiers event. However, the team was not able to win a single match throughout the 31st SEA Games Wild Rift event, leading to Oasis Gaming’s early exit from the biannual event. The organization also finished in 5th-6th place in the Wild Rift Champions (WCS) SEA 2022 – Philippines (PH), losing its chance to participate in the world series.

Oasis Gaming lets go of its Wild Rift squad

The announcement was made on the esports organization’s official Facebook page with the caption “Some good things must come to an end.”

The team was composed of the following members;

  • Mark Clinton “Etaf” Pelayo

  • Golden Hart “DemonKite” Dajao

  • Dragon Hart “Dragon” Dajao

  • Rency Lorejas “Renzy” Barcos

  • Julius Jerome “Edaf” Pelayo

  • Renzel “Ecilaa” Ayuban

  • John Marlou “xisx” Mañosca

This release comes after Oasis Gaming’s upsetting run at the 31st SEA Games. This came as a surprise to most fans as the Philippines is one of the most competitive teams in the Wild Rift esports scene. The team could not secure a single win in the group stage, resulting in its early exit from the biannual event which was held in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Despite its dominant run in the Sibol Qualifiers, Oasis Gaming failed to impress its fans after finishing 5th-6th place in the WCS SEA 2022 – PH after losing 3-0 against RRQ PH in the playoffs stage.

Despite being let go this may not be the last time fans will see the former Oasis Gaming squad. It will be interesting to see which teams will acquire the players in preparation for next year’s major Wild Rift esports events.
