Outriders post-launch patch addresses crashes and inventory wipes

Outriders People Can Fly is definitely a good game. But it is also flawed in some respects, especially on the technical side. Bugs and crashes are among the many problems that the game faces. And let’s not ignore some of the worst offenders, like the HUD disappearing and an inventory error wiping out everything you own. Next week, the game will receive its first major post-launch patch, set to repair disappearing HUDs, crashes, and you can even restore your cleared inventory. It will also rebalance the game, taking the shit out of the Trickster class.

Next week’s patch for Outriders It can be a point of contention for many fans. Sure, it will fix the many glitches in the game, including the one that occurs during the mission “A Bad Day”, or when you change your language to Spanish (yes, they know) and when you just started the game. But it will also weaken the abilities of two classes: the Trickster and the Technomancer. The patch also keeps you from getting legendary items for each subsequent bounty hunt, historians, and monster hunt. And hopefully the inventory cleanup bug is fixed, but restoring items comes with a warning.

Maybe baby

There are a lot of “shoulds” and “cans” in the patch notes about restoring items. The patch should avoid further trouble with losing your items. However, it doesn’t seem like you’re going to get back everything you lost. The restoration does not appear to be a guarantee either. If you can get your items back, the only applicable ones are high-level items like Epic and Legendary. Restoration should be additive, which means your inventory will not be erased and will not be replaced with your lost property.

However, returned items will not have the exact same stats. If your game was terminated before an autosave, those items will be lost.

patches outriders update inventory hud nerf

Both the Technomancer and the Trickster will see a nerf. The Trickster will be hit especially hard next week. According to the notes, three of the Trickster Hero Tree nodes will see a 15% reduction in power (from 50% to 35%). This includes Disruptive Firepower, Scion of Power, and Outrider Executioner. Technomancer’s damage against poison will be reduced from 30% to 15%.

The Outriders the post-launch patch notes are quite extensive. Be sure to head over to the news update page to find out more.
