PUBG Studio Announces The Future Of The Battle Royale Franchise With PUBG: New State

Krafton, Inc has revealed the next step in the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds franchise with PUBG: New State. Developed by studio PUBG, New State aims to recreate the original battle royale experience and evolve it into a new, futuristic adventure for new and veteran alike on iOS and Android platforms.

PUBG: New State is the latest game in the growing PUBG franchise from the original creators of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and will be a free experience for mobile gamers later this year.

“Considering the fan support and massive success of previous games, it’s humbling to be able to create and present the next game in the franchise that has revolutionized the Battle Royale genre around the world.” PUBG: New State executive producer MinKyu Park tells us. “We want to build on that heritage by creating an experience that pushes the boundaries of mobile gaming. Seeing our team come together to develop a global product has been an incredible experience and we are confident it will speak to all audiences when it launches later this year.

With New State, the PUBG experience was built from the ground up, optimized specifically for mobile platforms. It aims to take the shooter and mechanics that many loved about the original iteration, along with the combat stylization, and combine it with further enhancements through the studio’s rendering technology called Global Illumination. Unlike the current mobile experience for PUBG, this iteration is specifically created to maximize the mobile platform in a way that the original did not.

Additionally, PUBG: New State will also bring new features to players, including new ways to customize in-game weapons, performance upgrades, fire mode selections, and even grenade launcher attachments. Drones, ballistic shields, combat jets and more will also be part of the new experience along with new vehicles to take on an 8×8 open world.

As for the launch date of the new game, PUBG: New State will plunge players into the year 2051, years after the original game. The battleground in question is called TROI, a new playground where PUBG veterans can see how much the universe has changed between the two settings of the title.

“At Krafton, our goal is to create masterpieces that deliver top-notch gaming experiences. With PUBG: New State, the next title in our growing PUBG franchise, we hope to realize this vision, ”says CH Kim, CEO of Krafton, Inc.“ We give our full support to PUBG Studio to ensure they continue. to develop. games that present their unique identity, further strengthening its position as a pioneer of the battle royale genre. “
