The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings DX — Is it worth it?

Terminating the DX inputs in the Mysterious trilogy it is Atelier Lydie and Suelle DX. After the large areas and the focus of exploration of Atelier Firist, Lydie and Suelle DX it’s closer to the structure of previous series games, with smaller areas and a city acting as a hub. This is also a good game that builds on some elements from the previous two. He has the most refined alchemy of the group, plus the ability to switch between two characters. Like the other games, the basic version of Lydie and Suelle It will be removed from Steam, and owners of that version will need to purchase this to access the new additions. There isn’t much of that here though, so is it worth it?

Atelier Lydie and Suelle DX refers to the twin alchemists who live with their father, who runs an alchemy business. Unfortunately for them, the guy is a frivolous bum and they often go hungry. His alchemy shop doesn’t get many customers, and his father often forces them to do the worst part of the work. But things change when a new alchemy ranking system is established in his kingdom. The structure of the game focuses on the girls rising through the ranks in their shop, with the goal of becoming the best in the kingdom. To do this, they find a mentor and discover the uncanny ability to enter paintings and collect materials.

The paint trick is a pretty good idea that adds something to separate Atelier Lydie and Suelle DX of the rest of the series. The characters from the previous two games return. Still, the characters here make the game more interesting than many others. Suelle, for example, can be rude and sarcastic, and is not a typical Workshop protagonist – very different from Lydie. Even some of the people around him, like his father and the suspicious Mireille, give the dialogue a bit more bite than other games.

Painted love

Combat and alchemy are very much in line with previous games. The gathering areas come back here. While they are not as large as the Firis, they are a huge improvement over those of Sophie. Very similar Firis, Atelier Lydie and Suelle DX worth playing for anyone who likes the Ryza games and wants to see more of the series. I don’t like it as much as Firis, but it’s a good time. However, this DX version makes fewer changes than the other two. The only featured image of the new set you’ll find is a quest line that allows you to unlock a new linked painting Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists.

It also has the battle throttle feature and photo mode, but it’s hard to recommend older version owners to fold for the DX version. On the other hand, there is also quite a bit of DLC included in the package. Very similar Firis, there are two new members of the group, who are already main characters in the story. In addition, you will have eight costumes, background music packs, item sets, and an additional area.

I am pretty sure Atelier Lydie and Suelle DXThe original release had the most game-based downloadable content, which is explained here. You can also find new missions, recipes, events and the like. The new content is not much, but Atelier Lydie and Suelle DX is a good Workshop game and there is quite a bit of DLC included. Newcomers will find a lot to like about this pack, but for people who already own the base game and its DLC, it’s probably not worth it.
